About MFP
A little about the journey of Madame Fancy Pants…..
Madame Fancy Pants jewellery was created in 2003 through a collision of frustration, to much spare time and a love for all things shiny and pretty. MFP jewellery was sold to many a gorgeous store through out New Zealand (such as Starfish, The Family, Rex Royale, Hailwood, Juniper, Sisters and more!) then at the end of 2006 Miss Claire thought….’why not open a store and have other super neat stuff in it?!’…..so she did.
And thus the first Madame Fancy Pants boutique on Plimmer Steps was born! A quaint little store up some mighty big steps was a delight to visit by many a crafty hunter gatherer.
After 6 months the wee spot on Plimmer became a little bit small to host all the wonderful worldly goodies that could be sourced, just then a space that was just the right size for a little quirky store magically became available at the top of Cuba Street. ‘How Nifty!’ thought Miss Claire ‘Could there be a more perfect spot for us to perch?’.
And so MFP was on the move to 217 Cuba Street, a wonderland in which the goodies of many stunning designers can call home and for you to visit any old time!
