Like many in the fashion industry, designer Shiana Weir grew up rifling through her mother’s fabric collection – dreaming, scheming and styling.
After focusing on men’s streetwear while studying fashion and textile design at Massey, Shiana decided she wanted to make clothes she could actually wear (much to the disappointment of the men in her life).
Shiana runs Mardle outside of her full-time job in IT Procurement. It makes for a very packed calendar, but the designer manages to find the balance.
Designing with herself in mind means you can expect fuss-free, wearable clothes, with an intriguing twist, that will soon become the staples of your wardrobe.
