When I moved to the Wairarapa back in 2016, I met a fab human called Emma. One day I popped round to her place (as you do), and it was so cool! full of joyful, eclectic bits and bobs, the kind of home you want to have a good nosey around. And what did my eyeballs spy on her wall? Some little fancy woodgrain bird stickers I used to give away at my very first MFP store on Plimmer Steps circa 2006!
How wild and wonderful to see a piece of early Fancy history living in a stylish pal’s home. Fast forward to now - Emma’s a solid mate and a proud MFP earring enthusiast.

Apr 15, 2025After almost 19 years of having physical store, our first on Plimmer steps, second at 217 Cuba street, Third at 225 Cuba Street and last in Greytown Wairarapa - we have finally decided that our (and by we and our - I mean me - Claire! I will refer to first person from now on) time in the physical realm is done for now.
Do I still love retail? YES!
Am I a bit tired and needing a change up in my life? Also YES!
What will I be doing now?
Well, I am still on the hunt for fantastic products from designers and makers over the globe, The offerings may change somewhat in the coming months - but how exciting is that?!

Cold Brew Recipe: Wild Spicy Delight

Enjoy your Wild Spicy Tea in a refreshing new way, here’s a simple cold brew recipe to enjoy on the hot summer days ahead.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 teaspoons of Wild Spicy Tea (but this icey baby also works with Pickers other loose leaf teas)
- 4 cups of cold water
- Ice
- Fresh slices of lemon or orange (optional)
HOW TO
1. Combine - In a large pitcher, add the Wild Spicy Tea and cold water.
2. Steep - Cover and let it steep in the fridge for at least 6 hours (or overnight for a stronger flavour).
3. Strain - After steeping, strain out the tea leaves using a fine mesh sieve or tea strainer.
4. Serve - Pour over ice and garnish with fresh citrus slices for a refreshing twist.
