Fleur Woods

Stitched Paintings is the term Fleur uses to describe her style of work.  Coming to stitch as a mixed media artist she has taught herself a variety of skills that honour but don't follow traditional embroidery techniques and serve beautifully the kind of contemporary embroidery art she enjoys creating.
Based in the beautiful rural village of Upper Moutere (near Nelson, New Zealand) & surrounded by vineyards, hop farms, orchards and country gardens it will come as no surprise that her work is largely inspired by nature.
