New necklaces - they're charming!

Claire's been a busy bee in her studio lately, making all sorts of fabulous creations. She's like Willy Wonka, only minus the chocolate (and crazy eyes).

One of my favourite things to come out of the studio lately is these gorgeous sterling silver charm necklaces. At the risk of sounding like a late-night infomercial, we are drowning in beautiful charms. But unlike the Ab Blaster 3000, these necklaces are only one easy payment of $59, and will leave you looking fresh and cute (with spine intact).

Each charm comes on a 45cm sterling silver chain, with Swarovski crystal detail at the clasp. It wouldn't be an MFP piece without crystals of course!

So here's a round up of my current faves. This is only a selection, there are many more of these lovelies up on our website, check them out here

Clockwise from left: Cherry Blossoms necklace, Ampersand necklace, Peanut necklace and Crossed Arrows necklace.

All $59!

Clockwise from top left: Anchor necklace, Acorn necklace, Lightning Bolt necklace and Scissors Necklace.

All $59!

And if you're after something a little more statement, we've got these cuties, which come on a 70cm chain and are $79:

L-R: Crescent necklace and Horse Shoe necklace

Both $79!

So these are my faves, which ones would you pick?

Tailor Skincare - it's dermatalogically sweet as!

We love to keep our skin supple, moisturised and oh so soft, especially during the winter months which can really mess your skin up. We're so stoked to introduce Tailor Skincare, the brain child of Sara Quilter.

Quilter, New Zealand born and bred, discovered a love for skin care while studying natural health and organic agriculture in California and began developing natural skincare formulas. Her first, the Tailor Masque, was first produced in her father's shed! Just two years later, Tailor Skincare is now a successful business with a great range of products, all made here in Wellington.

Although her business has grown, her ideals have stayed the same and Quilter only uses products which "benefit the mind, body and skin". Her products are made in small batches, using vegan and often organic ingredients. Plus, it's not tested on animals!

There are 7 glorious products in the Tailor range, the original masque, Oil cleanser (which is amazing for make up removal), dry cleanse, mist, serum, gel hydrate and moisturiser.  Prices range from $29-$49.00.

Tailor Skincare Minis are the perfect size to try out the range out before investing in the full bottles, gifts, travel, or taking to the gym. They range from $5-$9.  Winning!

Gettin' crafty on a rainy day.

It's winter, it's cold, so it's time to craft! Thankfully, Madame Fancy Pants is full of things to keep you busy on a rainy day.

I've turned to Sublime Stitching for their beautiful, easy and fail-safe embroidery patterns. We stock their iron-on transfer designs, metallic flosses and needles. Check out their needle pack here. The pack comes with a handy magnet to keep them safe.

Or, use their embroidery pattern craft pad, which includes over 75 fresh, fun embroidery patterns. (Craft pad available in store only. Or get in contact and we can send one out to you).

I recently used a couple of their patterns to make this gift for my aunt's 60th birthday. I combined two of their designs (and had a little fun with my own ideas) and this was the result!

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, although I should have practised a few stitches before attempting them on the real thing! Luckily Sublime stitching packs come with great instructions for different stitches. Easy as!

Little one on the way? Give a personalised gift with this Sublime Stitching Baby Bib Embroidery Kit. It has everything you need, including two bibs, embroidery floss, needles and a range of iron-on transfers. Just pick your design and get stitching!

If Origami is your thing, check out our Origami Craft Pad book, packed with 75 sheets of colourful paper and instructions for 25 great designs.

Need a project to do with the kids? Oswald the Owl is looking for a home! He can be sewn into a cushion, toy, wheat bag, or door stop. Or leave him as is, and use as a tea towel!

Got the winter blues? Read this and treat yo'self!

Need some help getting some ZzZz's at the moment? Me too! I think it's the cold, and the fact that I just can't stop watching Breaking Bad - yes, I know, I'm a bit late to the party!

So if you need to relax and unwind at the end of the week, no fear - Madame Fancy Pants is here, and we've just got some delicious-smelling goodies and beautiful trinkets in store to cure your winter blues.

I've never been a good sleeper (just ask my mum about my younger years!), but I'm loving King King's gorgeous sleep masks, they send me straight to the land of ZzZz's every night.

They're hand made by Kelly Spencer - the very talented lass who illustrated our cuckoo clock logo. She uses recycled fabric where possible, lines them with sustainable bamboo batting and a light-dampening fleece fabric, and finishes them off with a silk backing. Pure luxurious bliss!

I've got the swimming Mermaids mask, but if floral patterns are more your thing, she does those too! Check them out here

Aromatherapy seems to do the trick too - and our gorgeous new candles from Fringe Studios are perfect for creating a great relaxing vibe at home. Try their Peony, Rose & Vanilla candle, a great floral scent, or their Oak Moss & Apple for a more woody, earthy scent.

I find lighting a zesty, light scent is best for the mornings when I just can't get myself out of bed. I like Fringe Studios' Lemon Chiffon & Ginger candle, we've been burning it in store this week and I have to say, it wakes me up more than a soy latte ever could!

Pop in store to have a sniff of these beautiful scents, or if you live out of Wellington we can send them out to you ASAP - just check out our online store!

So if you need to relax this winter, get pamperin' yo!
